RE: MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

It is our pleasure to welcome you to the Mexican Business Association of Canada. This new calendar year 2011-2012, represents both continuity and change in the best sense of the word.

You will be pleased to know that this will be a year of reassuring stability and change in the direction and leadership of the Association. The New Board of Directors looks to broadening and deepening their contribution for the Association, and a key part of our strategy concerns” improving communication and bringing together the different elements of the Association to the business community”. The Board will like to be conscientious about keeping the members informed & involved.

This year, the Association will have many activities and projects that will provide the means of communicating and serving the business community. Our “WEBSITES”  www.asocmex.com  & www.asocmex.ca  will provide necessary information and serve as an instrument to promote the Association in today’s world of advanced tele communication technology.
Our business “LA GACETA” newsletter, will be issued 4 times a year and will be sent to all members, affiliated business organizations, business media and professional groups to inform them of the Association’s activities and achievements.

Our Association Directory will serve as a reference for our members and other business organizations to look for business opportunities. Our 5 lunch meetings at the Terminal City Club will provide members with the opportunity to network with other members and learn interesting things from our guest speakers.

The entertainment activities planned for 2011 include, Sunday July 10th a Walk-a-thon around Stanley Park to raise money for Charity,  Saturday August 6th a Wine and Food Event at the Vancouver Lawn & Tennis Club that will allow us to taste Mexican Tequilas, Wine & Spirits with traditiional food and music, and Friday December 9th our Traditional Mexican Posada at the Vancouver Lawn & Tennis Club.

The Board believes that all the initiatives planned for 2011 will help develop and fortify the Association in different ways, and is counting on the strong support of all members of the Association.

Our success in this year of improved communication, continuity and change, depends on the cooperation of everyone.

Best wishes for a successful 2011.

Manuel Otero
President, Board of Directors
